Test & Go - Bangkok, Thailand

Finally, my stay in Singapore is over. All the administrations and actions for a short 10 days in Singapore. However, I spent a lot of time with my family members and caught up with my sister and niece. I was really glad that I could do so after almost 2 years of separation. And yes, today, I made my way back to Bangkok through the Test & Go scheme. It was certainly necessary to have your Thailand Pass approved before flying back to Singapore. It has made a lot of things much easier. Of course, before departure, I have to complete my PCR test 72 hours ahead of my flight.

Upon arrival at the airport in Bangkok, we will be directed to a sitting area and the staff will check to make sure that we have all the necessary documents before approaching the officers from the Ministry of Public Health. The officer will check our documents and ensure that we have got everything covered. Basically I would already have the Covid-19 insurance that covers at least USD50,000 and booking document of my SHA hotel. All these documents I already submitted when I applied for the Thailand Pass.

Once all is cleared, I moved towards Door 10 and that's where all the major hotels staff will be waiting for their clients. I met up with mine and was sent to the hospital to do my PCR test. The test was a very quick one and in less than half an hour the test was completed and I was on my way to my hotel. I was already quite accustomed to having my nose poked. In Singapore, I was poking my nose almost everyday.

At the hotel, the whole atmosphere was different. For the first time in so many years, I felt like a tourist again in Bangkok. I never have this feeling for a long time. It feels great to be having a "vacation" or should I say a staycation.

Finally, I made it to my room and I could really take a breather from all the movements and travelling. So, all that I needed to do was to take a shower and order my dinner from the room service menu. And I will do my countdown right here in my room. Saying goodbye to Year 2021 and looking forward to a better year in 2022. I don't care, Year 2022 must be a good year to one and all. Enough is enough.
