I am home!

Yes, I am home. Two years in the waiting and I am finally in Singapore. Arrived here at around 3:45pm and felling totally excited about it. This is my first international flight in two years and traveling under Covid measures is easier than I thought now. Previously, most of us were deterred by the 14 days hotel quarantine but now with the VTL things are much easier. Besides the 5 steps before the flight, upon touching down, everything seems pretty normal. We just walked to the baggage belt and waited for our luggage. The main difference is the post-flight PCR test. Once we have collected our luggage, we will be directed, in a glide, to the Covid-19 test area. It helped a lot because I pre-booked the test and paid for it before I come over. The test will take a while, first they will scan your QR code and register your test. Once registered, you will be directed to one of the many test stations and be attended by a healthcare personnel. In less than 5 mins, mu test was completed and i was directed to the exit point. The whole process was almost seamless.

I took a cab home and on my way i marvelled at the beautiful urban landscape of my Little Red Dot. I am so thankful to God that we have come thus far and finally I am able to breathe in the breath of my motherland.
