Forest Bathing and Meditation

I decided to go to the park on Sunday for a time of wellness and refreshing. During my time there, I decided to do some meditation and balance it with an 1 hour and 30 mins walk around the park. The meditation lasted for about 20 to 25 mins and it was totally immersive I must say. For a brief moment, my mind was so fixed to a point that I was totally immersed into my consciousness or even my sub-consciousness. I heard sound of birds chirping but at the same time I knew that I was soaked in myself and my inner being. The whole 20 to 25 mins helped me to clear my mind from many thoughts and that really was a good start to my forest therapy.
After that 20 to 25 mins, I decided to take a walk around the park and enjoy myself being with the flora and fauna. Nature has its own way of bringing about healing to our soul. As I breathed in the air, I breathed in the lives therein in nature. When we do forest bathing, it's important to invoke our 5 senses and try to touch, smell, taste, listen and see the things around us. When your fingers start touching the grass on the floor, the connection is made with Mother Nature. When your eyes began to see the movements of the branches swaying with the wind, it's therapeutic to see them not trying to struggle off the track but to go with the flows of thing. When you listen to the birds singing and the hustling of the wind, they give you a sense of rhythm and beats that will set your heart at ease.
Over the past few Sundays, the park has become my place of refuge and refreshing. I would come here to be recharged and to recuperate from a whole week of lethargy and fatigue. It's so important to do this and do let yourself be carried away by nature.
